Traditional landscape project 2019

Traditional landscape project 2019 – valuable work to preserve biodiversity and the historic landscape.

The landscapes within the area of the manor will be restored during the spring of 2019. The goal is to restore the western side, which has become covered by a forest, to a traditional biotope and start grazing in the area next summer. For this purpose, some trees have been cut and the logging residues have been collected. The number of conventional pastures in Finland has decreased rapidly, and meadow species are consequently disappearing. The traditional landscape project serves as a learning environment for Hyria’s nature and environmental students. Topi Mustonen (Luontoukko TMI) is responsible for the planning and implementation of the project.

Press release 1 October 2018

In a real estate transaction that took place on 16 August 2018, Kaisankoti’s properties have been transferred to the new owner Backby Kalliomaa Oy, which will take over the possession of the property from 1 October 2018.

The operation of Welfare Manor Kaisankoti will continue as before, and it continues to offer diverse meeting, banquet, restaurant and accommodation services in a unique manor environment.

Kaisankoti’s restaurant and accommodation services have been outsourced to a new restaurant and accommodation operator from 1 October 2018. This does not have any effect on bookings already made, and the prices quoted before 1 October remain unchanged.

Any type of festivity or meeting can be arranged safely at Backby Manor

We have more than 10 separate meeting, banquet and restaurant facilities. Among these, we can choose the right facility for you, depending on the number of participants.

The goal is to organise the events so that encounters between the different groups are kept to a minimum. As an example, meeting guests have lunch at marked tables separately from other groups, and coffee served during the meeting is made available in the meeting rooms.

We recommend that all customers wash their hands and use hand sanitiser before meals and take care of proper safety distances. Please cough and sneeze in your sleeve, and if you have symptoms or if you have fallen ill, you should not attend the event.

Plexiglas has been installed at the reception desks of the hotel and restaurant to protect both our guests and our staff. We have intensified the cleaning of all our premises, and we take even better care of cleanliness and hygiene. In addition to the general facilities, additional disinfections are performed daily on items such as door handles and payment terminals.

Hand sanitiser is available in all common facilities. Hand sanitiser and disinfectant spray are at your disposal in the meeting, physical exercise and banquet rooms. We work in a systematic manner and in accordance with the instructions in place if an infection or illness occurs at Backby’s premises.

We use these enhanced efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of our customers so that you can visit Backby now and in the future with a trustful mind.
